Depending on the deployment scenario a per CPU or per Operating System Instance (OSI) license can be used. The per CPU is specifically beneficial for VMware vSphere environments allowing a customer to manage unlimited workloads runing on the hypervisor. The OSI license is targeted on heterogeneous environments, a license is required for each managed workload. A customer can switch between per CPU and per OSI licenses.
