Nutanix "VM Flash Mode" can be used to assign specific data in hybrid configurations to exist solely on flash storage and as such never have that data destaged to the magnetic layer. By pinning data to the flash storage layer low latencies can be better guaranteed regardless of what part of the data is being read (hot or cold) and at what time the read takes place.

Flash Mode can be enabled for individual VMs as well as baremetal iSCSI LUNs.

Nutanix "VM Flash Mode" is only available in the Ultimate edition.
