WhatMatrix Ltd (“WhatMatrix” or “we”) owns the website WhatMatrix.com and interactive online services (individually the “Service”; together the “Services”), including, without limitation, technical comparison and analysis tools, communication tools, message boards, social networking features, personalized content and any other features, content or applications offered from time to time by Whatmatrix including when the Services are accessed via the Internet, mobile or other device.

As set forth in our Terms of Use the Services are general audience sites which are not targeted to children, and WhatMatrix does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age

This Privacy Policy applies to each visitor to and user of the Services (individually “User” and collectively, “Users”), including both those who use some of the Services without being registered (“Visitors”) and those who have registered (“Members”) to obtain additional functionality or participate in an activity on the Services. This Privacy Policy describes WhatMatrix’s collection and use of Users’ personal information (e.g., information that identifies a specific person, such as full name or email address) where that information is not otherwise publicly available on the Services.   1. USER SUBMITTED INFORMATION
  2. “Registration Information” is the information that Users provide to WhatMatrix: (a) to register for certain Services, for example, saving a comparison report, or providing feedback on comparison data ; or (b) to contribute to the site (invitation only) through the publishing of comparison data & articles. Registration Information may include one or more of the following: email address, first/last name, and time zone.
  3. “Profile Content” consists of information Members may choose to add to their member profile, including a Member’s profile picture or avatar, user name, personal URL, stated location, gender, online addresses, social media contact information (i.e., LinkedIn name, twitter name, and the like) and free-form content such as a Member’s Bio, signature, and similar information. A Member’s Profile Content is always public and available to anyone, including other users, search engines, advertisers, third-party application developers, and anyone else with access to the Services. Profile Content may be displayed in search results both on the Services and on external search engines.
  4. “Public Site Content” consists of information you disclose in public areas of the Services, such as Contributor Content, Blogs and any other community areas. Please be aware that Public Site Content is always public and available to anyone, including other users, search engines, advertisers, third-party application developers, and anyone else with access to the Services. Public Site Content may be displayed in search results both on the Services and on external search engines.
  5. “Correspondence” consists of information you disclose when you contact WhatMatrix, for example, for customer service purposes.
  6. WhatMatrix COLLECTED INFORMATION

When users access the Services, we may collect certain non-personally identifiable information about those visits. We provide services where personal information can be sent to third parties, for example, if you request to be contacted by a third party for product information. This requires explicit consent to the forwarding of information.

We may use aggregated, anonymous data about use of and activity on the Services to assist us in monitoring and improving the services and such data is not subject to this Privacy Policy. We do not share your personal information with third parties, but we may share anonymized or aggregated information with them to improve the relevancy of products you see on the Services.

Merger or sale of assets. If WhatMatrix sells all or part of its business or makes a sale or transfer of its assets or is otherwise involved in a merger or transfer of all or a material part of its business, WhatMatrix may transfer your information to the party or parties involved in the transaction as part of that transaction.

WhatMatrix operates websites hosted in Europe. These TERMS OF USE will not in any way change or limit your rights and obligations under your WhatMatrix syndication contract.

1.3 External Citation use

All external use of the WhatMatrix name, analysis and logo must be pre-approved by WhatMatrix, except for “Limited Audience” Documents (outlined above), corporate micro-blogs and personal blogs/micro-blogs, are authorised to include quoted materials without approval, provided copyright  parameters are followed.

1.3.1 Commercially marketable assets

Whatmatrix assets are made available for external marketing through commercial offering such as WhatMatrix enhanced listing. During the contract period you are licensed to create marketing assets depicting the “top-rated” logo, use the logo for online marketing campaigns or display it at events. You are not allowed to create any new marketing assets depicting our logo or use the logo in marketing campaigns after the expiration of the commercial contract.

You must include the required clear space around the “Top-rated” Logo (regardless of year).

1.4 Social Media

In addition to Section 1:
If you would like to reference the WhatMatrix brand or intellectual property on a corporate blog, personal blog or micro-blog, you do not need to seek permission.
